No Intermediate Cross Members
The body carries its load on 9.5" × 3/16" hat-sill longitudinal rails rather than a ladder of cross members, leaving a clean understructure with less to pack with material.
Solid-Seam Welding
Welded with continuous solid seams rather than stitch welds, giving a stronger, smoother surface that further improves cleanout and performance.
Hardox 500 Tuf Wear Surfaces

What makes the Radius different from a square gravel box?
The sidewalls are formed with a radius instead of meeting the floor at a hard corner, and the floor corners are angled at 45°. That combination gives material nowhere to pack into, so the box empties and cleans out more easily. NeuStar also builds it without intermediate cross members and with solid-seam welds, both of which help cleanout and durability.
What does "no intermediate cross members" actually mean?
The body carries its load on 9.5" × 3/16" hat-sill longitudinal rails that run the length of the box — ¼" sills on bodies over 18′ — rather than a series of cross members spanning between them. There is still a 10" × 2" × 3/16" structural formed tube channel cross member at the rear, where the tailgate and rear-end loads concentrate.
What sizes does the Radius Gravel Box come in?
Bodies are built from 12′ to 24′ long, 101.5" outside and 88.5" inside width. Side heights run 24", 30", 36", 42", 48", 54" and 60", with sloped options of 60–48, 60–54 and 66–60, plus a 6" or 12" board. Petra will size the body to your chassis and axle configuration.
What steel is the Radius built from?
Hardox 500 Tuf abrasion-resistant plate on the wear surfaces. The floor can be specified in 4mm, 3/16", ¼" or 3/8", and the front, doghouse and walls in 4mm or 3/16". The hoist tower and rear posts are 3/16" 50,000 structural steel. The standard build is a complete 4mm Hardox 500 Tuf box with a 3/16" 500 floor.
